Dubble Fairtrade Warrior and Divine mini marcher

Tower Bridge School year 4 students have been helping Dubble, and educational charity Trading Visions, build a giant 8ft Fairtrade Warrior in celebration of Fairtrade Fortnight 2013. The giant warrior strode out across Potters Field park with the year 4 students, Mary and Esther, Sophi Tranchell (Divine’s MD) and two giant Mr Dubbles!

Locals, tourists and press were impressed by the goliath sculpture clad in armour entirely created from Fairtrade wrappers! When you’re fighting for a cause as vital as fair trade – you need a strong champion – and this giant Fairtrade warrior was exactly what the year 4 students wanted to create.

See the article on the SE1 website and have a look at other Fairtrade sculptures that have been created across the country.

Meanwhile, our mini marcher, Christiana, joined with thousands of others outside parliament in the Fairtrade mini march. It’s still not too late to go further and join the mini marchers
